After three rounds of the 2010 AMA Arenacross Series, Spy Optic’s Tyler Bowers, has made it clear that he is determined to win his first career AMA national title. On Saturday, Bowers grabbed his fifth straight AMA Arenacross class victory. Tyler was not the only Spy rider to stand on the podium in Hampton, he was joined by teammates Chad Johnson and Josh Demuth.
Bowers leads the AMA Arenacross class standings by 24 points over teammate Johnson, the only other winner in 2010.
Spy Optic is stoked to be part of such a great team and hopes to continue on top.

Tommy Searle was looking good until he went down in the second qualifying practice and injured his shoulder. He had it checked out on site by the asterisk medical crew and it did not appear broken. Tommy tried to race the heat race but could not hold on and was forced to sit out the race. Tommy says he has had it checked out this week by his doctor and there is no major problem but he will have to take a few days off to heal up. He will try to ride later this week to see if he can compete this weekend in San Francisco.
Kevin Windham looked great in practice and had the 5th fastest lap time heading into the night. Kevin rode an amazing race in the main event and was turning some of the fastest lap times and finished 5th place edging out some of the top up and coming riders. Kevin says he feels good and is looking forward to each race and wants to be back on that podium soon.
Nick Wey finished 13th on the night and is only 5 points out of the top ten. Nick is working on a few things with his bike setup and expect to be in the top ten soon.
Grant Langston finished 16th. He says he is happy to be back racing and is working hard to get back to the front of the pack after not even riding for 2 years.
This weekends race will be in San Francisco and it is expected to rain.
