Today Gymkhana will be dropping the first part of their third film, we thought since we are a part of the “Block Party” now that we should take a roll in helping blast this out to the masses, since we know everyone is going to love it. Just in time for the last few days of summer SPY will be sponsoring the 48th annual East Coast Surfing Championships from August 25th-29th in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Hundreds of amateur and pro surfers, including SPY’s own Ben Bourgeois, Cody Thompson, Tyler Newton, and Nick Rupp, will go head to head for East Coast surfing titles with purses totaling $30,000.
Back for another year, the SPY crew will be out in full force! Come and kick it at the SPY booth in the vendor village for some beach games, prize giveaways, and your chance to win an exclusive pair of SPY shades before they are out in stores. It will be a hot one but with all the shenanigans we have in store you won’t even notice the heat!

Brent breaks it down to us in his interview on Shay Boarder how snowboarding and art open may doors for him; “Snowboarding and art have introduced me to a world of friends and allowed me further my love of art and design. Snowboarding and art have brought me places and experiences most people will not get. It sounds cliché, but skateboarding, surfing, and snowboarding defined the fork in the road where I chose the path I am on today…” We here at Spy feel blessed to have Brent manning our guns when it comes to the world of goggle design.. Congrats Brent.. its true what they say.. Hard work does pay off.

I wanted to share this great interview that was passed along to me of Louie Vito. Louie had an amazing season this past year, and really showed the world that he is one of the bests, and that the sky is the limit. We are very proud to have Louie as one of our family members. The world is yours Louie, keep chasing your dreams!
We cruised up to the Agenda Trade Show in Huntington Beach to slap some hi fives, have a couple meetings with some topic secret colabs we are dropping, and of course check out the show and see whats in store for the next couple seasons. As we were roaming the show we ran into our boy Louie Vito, he was signing autographs at the Incipio booth. Here are some shoots of Louie doing his thing and also showing us his pro model case
Spy did it big down under this past couple of days at the Burton New Zealand Open. With both of the golden boys getting a spot on the podium. Louie Vito who has been crushing the contest circuit all year grabbing that 3rd place, and Ipod who has pretty much dominated everything grabbing the win and being crowned the winner of men’s halfpipe for the 2010 NZ open. Just when everyone thought that summer was here and all the snow of winter had been melted away, Darrell Mathes shows us something a tad bit different.
