June 13-14, 2009 Rip Curl Grom search Huntinton Beach CA 9th street. This was the 1st stop the 2009 Rip Curl Gromsearch. Spy surfers Parker Coffin and Kanoa Igarashi surfed in this event. On Sunday it was 11 year old Kanoa Igarashi that would be the shinning star in the Boys 12 and under division. For his win Kanoa received $250.00 plus a ton of cool prizes from the sponsors of this event.
