Once again our guys came out firing in the sunny halfpipe of the 2010 Burton Us Open. After both Louie and Iouri took home medals from European X games just a couple days before, they arrived at Stratton, Vermont ready to continue their domination this season. They have both be on almost every podium through the 2010 season. This time it was Louie tho taken that second spot, and Iouri taken a 3rd. Louie dropped in with a huge frontside double cork 1080, then right into the cab double cork 1080, frontside double 900, backside 900, into a frontside 1260. Louie has been mastering that run all year, but recently added that frontside double 900. As for Iouri, he came blasting into the pipe with a huge cab double cork 1080, into a front side corked 540, then dropping the hammer with his double Mctwist 1260 right into a frontside 1080. Iouri took second last night in the Mens Superpipe Finals. After falling on his last hit of his first run Iouri was feeling the pressure. He dropped in on his second run and threw a cab double cork 1080, into a frontside 540, then into a backside 900, into frontside 1080, cab 720, into a frontside double cork 1080! The run was flawless, each trick smoother than the last. That run got Iouri a 93.00 bumping him into second place right behind Shawn White. Congrats Iouri, we are all very happy for you!
